It was fantastic! My knee held up and I had a great time! I have definitely found my new passion. Although, it was an expensive trip because I had to buy all new board gear, to the tune of $1,200, it was fun. Now I feel like I’m a new man, able to do what I love!

So been skiing a couple of times this year and the knee has healed completely. Thinking about switching to snow boarding because of the knees. Snow boarding seems to put less torque on my knees which is a good thing! May be turniing into a knuckle dragger!!

So I and some friends decided to take a snow board lesson. First day was tough on the body! Second day was better and by the end we were able to tackle the intermediate terrain. I think I’m going to like this snow boarding thing. Easy on my knees. It really is alot of fun. More freedom compared to skiing. Getting on and off the lifts is more of a pain in the arse though.

Water skiing has proven to be a good substitute for snow skiing during the summer months. Get out there first thing in the morning and get the flat glass like water perfect for carving turns. Weekends on the boat, in the sun with friends and family are a helluva lot of fun! I tried wake boarding for the first time. what a blast … might have to try snowboarding!

Holiday skiing is good and bad. The crowds suck! The skiing itself is always a blast. I hate waiting in lift lines, the lodge is chaos, and parking is a bitch. But you can’t beat being in the mountains during the holidays. with the holiday spirit, everything is decorated and the mood is good!

Just something about spring skiing that gives me a special feeling. nothing like like swooshing down the mountain in a t-shirt with the sun shining bright. the mood is festive at the lodge, music blasting and the smell of bbq is in the air. Another ski season is coming to an end and thoughts of the next one are already filling my mind. Will we have good snow? When will the season start? How many days will I ski?

Thinking about some new skis. The skis I have are 210 long and straight. I skied some demos that were 180 long and shaped with curves in the sides. I have’nt been on 180’s since I was a kid… how cool.Talk about easy to ski! These things turn effortlessly! Makes even novice skiers carve like an expert!
